Dory recently honored the life of his younger brother Terry. Here is his speech.
In May of 1944 our Mother let me feel her swollen belly. She explained I was about to have a brother or sister. I was 3 ½ years old and could not imagine the wonderful family I was privileged to be a part of.
In May of 1973 Terry and I held our Father’s hand for the last time at Bell Ave and in February of 2009 we said goodbye to our dear mother Dorothy
Terry and I have had the best of life, in our career and with our beautiful families, my beautiful sons and daughter, and grandchildren and a great grandson, and Terry with 3 grandchildren, 2 handsome grandsons and Beautiful Bella, Terry’s loving name for his granddaughter.
Terry’s love for his wife Vicki was a story like no other, their love endured thru the decades together and their greatest achievement was their 2 daughters Stacy and Brandee, who gave their whole heart to caring for their Father with Love and Dignity. Terry and I talked almost every day and he knew how hard Stacy and Brandee worked to care for him.
Thank you to all of you today to honor a great man, Terry loved his family and wrestling heritage above everything and loved the ring, loved wrestling, loved the wrestlers and loved the fans , Terry cared about each of you.
Thank you Marti for all you have done to carry me though this crushing time and thank you to each of you coming today to honor my brother Terry.
Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” – I am broken hearted and I love you Terry.
